What are you looking at?
by Pastor Farley on 10/15/12
When you look into the mirror what or who do you see? Do you see qualities of honesty, kindness, caring, selflessness, loving, compassionate, forgiving and patient? Or does it become harder to recognize the person you are looking at?
This can make us not want to look in the mirror and keep us down because these are qualities that can determine the outcome of our lives and those around us.
You see, we do have to trust and can be hard for some to do. Not only in each other but in God as well. For others it can come easy and they can be taken advantage by people in the flesh so for that reason some give up all together. Do not give up on God. He is faithful in His word. Instead go to Him in prayer and wait for His answers.
It tell us in the book of Philippians 4:6-7
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.
Fear keeps us down. The devil depends on this. Jesus Himself was led by Spirit to be tempted for forty days and forty nights.
In Luke 4:1-3 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
What happens when we are alone? Do we give ourselves that same love and understanding as we do others? It's not easy for everyone to look in the mirror. It can make some very uncomfortable in their spirit. This could use some examination of the heart if this is you.
You see God sees our heart. He examines our heart. He knows when we are walking in a fog or if we are walking in His Spirit. He knows! So I ask again, What do you see when you look in the mirror?
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?
Search your soul and know that in times of being alone we are never alone, He is always with us. Not forgiving ourselves and others will keep us sick and tired of trying. It is imparitive that we forgive ourselves first as God did when he laid His son on the cross not just for then and today but for the tomorrows too.
We must try not to discount what Jesus did for us as is written in John 19:28-30 After this Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said "I thirst." A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, "It is finished," and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
He knew we would be weak so it has already been forgiven. No longer do we have to suffer in pain and sorrow but we can make the choice to give it all to Him now if there is anything that remains to be turned over.
If you are feeling alone, sad or tired in your spirit, surrender it all to Him and be free.
Want to look in the mirror daily to see the Holy Spirit in action? He loves us all that much. We make mistakes. WE ARE FORGIVEN! Pray and ask for His forgiveness and move on.
Psalms 34:17-19
Yes, the Lord hears the good man when he calls to Him for help, and saves him out of all his troubles. The Lord is close to those whose heart is breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles - he has them, too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one.
It's as easy as changing our mind. Changing our mindset will save our life and the lives of those we love. What or who will you see now?

The Power Of Words
by Pastor Farley on 09/20/12
Many have good intentions when trying to help others but sometimes in the helping process some tend to forget about the Word's being spoken to deal with the situation at hand.
We have been given a great blessing of the tongue, not to be used as a curse to others but to lift them when we speak. We must always be careful to get our point accross without insulting or hurting them. We are not the judge here.
The bible says "You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, My decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with The Father, who sent Me." (John 8:15-16)
God gives us grace and discernment in our spirit. How many stay in spirit all day long? If you are one then do not become offended to what is being said. You are with God and walk with love. Not everyone understands this and lives this way. Thus the need for His word to be shared in a way that all can understand.
Matthew 7 Judging Others, "Judge not, that you be not judged". Verse 2 "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you". Verse 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but no not notice the log that is in your own eye? Verse 4, Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your eye? Verse 5, You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
This can take a lot of practice before it becomes a habit. Religion can become a debate if we are not careful. It is sad when it happens but it happens. Many will come against you but reamain strong when guided by The Holy Spirit. When Jesus was sacraficed, God did it for ALL for us so that we may live with LOVE in our hearts. He did not put Himself on the cross in the form of man for us to mock Him by using His precious time going back and forth with no love in the outcome.
We all have a purpose. When you know what it is that you are to do in your life do not allow anything or anyone to alter your path. Be strong as Jesus was and finish everything with love.
Keep in mind as always when we walk with Jesus and are close to God's glory for us we are always subject for attack. Verse 6 in Matthew, "Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
Most of us will not allow our gardens to be attacked and over taken by weeds the same is true for those we chose to be around. If we feel drained by the company we keep then maybe it's time to weed the garden, I'm Just Sayin..
In the Moment
by Pastor Farley on 09/18/12It is important not to become discouraged when life or the people around us let us down. We have to stop and ask ourselves, did we do all we could to prevent the situation or did we feed it with our ego or pride? Life is given to us so freely, it is up to us to enjoy it. I'm Just Sayin.
Power of Prayer
by Pastor Farley on 07/28/12
Many times when someone asks us to pray for them we say sure we will and go about our day. How many people really take the time to ask what am I praying for?
Being specific with prayer puts power on that prayer. Not that God doesn't know already but For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20 Get more details and pray with knowledge. I'm Just Sayin
Nourishished in the Spirit
by Pastor Farley on 07/22/12
We get so excited to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and many more. Just like many of us were as children when we thought Santa was coming it was difficult to sleep because of the excitement. Somehow we make it through the day without being too tired and needing a nap, Why, because we are doing something that excites us and we become nourished in the Spirit as a result. When we feed our passion we are fed in Spirit as well. I'm Just Sayin
